Yobe State and UNDP Empower 300 Volunteer Security Outfits with Vocational Skills

Yobe State Government, in collaboration with UNDP, has empowered 300 volunteer security outfits with vocational skills funded by the European Union. The initiative aims to strengthen community stability, economic empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.

The beneficiaries, including men and women, have acquired skills to support their integration into civilian life. The project also supports the reintegration and reconciliation of individuals formerly associated with non-state armed groups.

Various skills training, such as painting, brick production, and solar installation, were provided to enhance the livelihoods of the beneficiaries.
