Transcorp Hilton Abuja Celebrates Women in Leadership

On International Women’s Day, Transcorp Hilton Abuja celebrated women's contributions to leadership and development, aligning with the 2026 theme of empowering women. Ijeoma Cassandra Osuji from the hotel's public relations department noted the importance of supporting and investing in women to create stronger institutions in business and society.

The hotel is committed to increasing the number of women in key management positions, with notable figures such as Ms. Betti Aguiyi-Ironsi, the first indigenous female commercial director, and Mr.

Onyiny Ajoku, director of rooms, exemplifying this commitment. The hotel also focuses on mentorship and professional development for women, recognizing that empowering women enhances commercial performance and guest experience.

Since launching its business empowerment program in 2017, the hotel has trained 60 young women in skills such as sewing, business management, and customer service, enabling them to start their own fashion businesses. The statement concluded by emphasizing that when women succeed, everyone benefits.
