Interswitch Inducts Largest Developer Academy Cohort

Interswitch has launched its largest developer academy cohort, inducting 20,000 applicants from a total of 2026, following an overwhelming response. This marks the third program since its inception and involved a rigorous multi-stage selection process that included technical assessments and interviews.

The nine-month developer academy program will cover key areas such as backend development, DevOps, mobile development, frontend engineering, and quality assurance. It aims to equip participants with the skills required to compete in the global technology landscape.

Mitchell Elegb, the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Interswitch, stated that this initiative reflects the company's long-term commitment to building and sustaining technological talent across Africa. Franklin Ali, the Group Chief Human Resources Officer, emphasized that the program is designed to build not only technical capacity but also professional resilience among participants.
