Interswitch Launches TechConnect Series in Owerri

Interswitch, an integrated payments and digital commerce company, launched the sixth edition of its TechConnect industry engagement series on September 25 in Owerri, Imo State. The initiative, themed “Built for What’s Next: Designing Adaptive Financial Infrastructure for a Dynamic Market,” aims to promote adaptive and connected financial technology infrastructure.

It gathers stakeholders from government, financial services, technology, and business to discuss building systems that meet changing consumer expectations and business models. Following the Owerri event at Protea Hotel, the TechConnect 6.0 roadshow will proceed to Abuja on October 8, Ibadan on October 22, and Lagos on October 27.

Tyoyila Aga, Vice President of Business Innovation and Growth at Interswitch, emphasized the need for technology infrastructure to be flexible and adaptable. He stated that businesses require scalable, interoperable, secure, and resilient systems to support emerging services.

The Owerri event featured a keynote address by Justice Okoye, Executive Chairman of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service, discussing the importance of adaptive financial infrastructure in enhancing state institutions and economic participation.
