Inuwa Advocates Academic Collaboration for Northern Nigeria

Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Gombe State Governor and Chairman of the Northern Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NNGF), urged for enhanced collaboration between government and academics to address pressing issues in Northern Nigeria, such as insecurity, out-of-school children, and food insecurity. This call was made during separate engagements with senior academics and women Islamic scholars in Abuja, organized by the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari.

Yahaya highlighted the importance of utilizing the knowledge and expertise of the intellectual community to tackle these challenges. He acknowledged improvements in security since the Tinubu administration's emergence and called for collective action to maintain these gains.

The governor also advocated for increased investment in vocational education to enhance employability among youth. He recognized the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development as a significant step towards resolving farmer-herder conflicts.

Yahaya plans to extend these consultations across Northern Nigeria to further the Renewed Hope Agenda.
