Gombe Governor Yahaya Strengthens Ties with Nigerian Army

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies to maintain peace and stability in the state. This assurance was made during a courtesy visit from Major General Wunukhe Maxwell Dangana, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, at the Government House in Gombe.

Governor Yahaya emphasized that peace and security are foundational for sustainable development, particularly as political activities intensify across Nigeria. He expressed readiness to support the Nigerian Army through the provision of essential operational logistics to enhance their effectiveness.

Major General Dangana, who introduced himself to the Governor following his recent redeployment, noted that the 3 Division oversees military operations in Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Taraba states. He commended the Governor for his unwavering support and cooperation with the Nigerian Army.
