Gombe Governor Advocates Knowledge Solutions for North

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya urged for knowledge-driven solutions to the challenges facing Northern Nigeria during engagements with senior academics and women Ulamas in Kaduna. The discussions, themed “Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Achievements and the Road to 2027,” were held over the weekend and aimed to address critical regional issues.

Yahaya identified insecurity, the rising number of out-of-school children, food security, vocational education, peaceful coexistence, and farmer-herder conflicts as areas needing collective action. He acknowledged the security challenges but noted gradual improvements since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took office, encouraging stakeholders to collaborate with the government to sustain progress.

Yahaya emphasized the importance of academics in developing sustainable solutions to the out-of-school children crisis and called for renewed focus on vocational education, which he described as a critical yet neglected component of development.
