IPMAN Chairman Advocates for Nnewi's Special Status

Chinedu Anyaso, the chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has called for better governance and the granting of special status to Nnewi, an industrial city in Anambra State. Speaking at a press conference in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anyaso emphasized the need for Nnewi to have dedicated electoral representation in the National Assembly, specifically for the Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo federal constituencies.

He highlighted the economic significance of Nnewi, which hosts numerous manufacturing companies and has a large population. Anyaso criticized the inadequate representation of the area, which he believes has hindered its development and ability to attract federal attention for infrastructural challenges.

He expressed confidence in the leadership of Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and stated that IPMAN would collaborate with the state government to address these issues and promote economic growth in the region.
