Trump Calls Iran Ceasefire "Massive Life Support"

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the ceasefire with Iran is on "massive life support," during a report from the Oval Office.

He described the ceasefire as "unbelievably weak" and rejected Iran's counteroffer sent on Sunday, calling it "total unacceptable" and "piece of garbage." Esmail Baghaei, a spokesperson for Iran's foreign ministry, responded that Tehran's proposal included an immediate end to the war, a halt to U.S. naval blockades, and guarantees against further attacks. Trump criticized Iran's response on social media, asserting that it did not address U.S. security interests.

He also reiterated concerns about Iran's nuclear capabilities, claiming that Iran is seeking to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons. The ceasefire has been in effect since April, despite occasional exchanges of fire.

Trump emphasized that Iran's actions are necessary for their security interests and accused them of dishonoring their people.
