Iran Attacks Kuwait Power Plants; Bahrain Defends Against Strikes

On Saturday, Iran struck a second power and water plant in Kuwait, leading to the deactivation of several power generation units and causing a fire at the facility. This attack followed a similar incident on Friday that resulted in damage and injuries to fire service personnel.

Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity and Water confirmed the incidents, which led to temporary suspension of air traffic at Kuwait International Airport due to the attacks. Meanwhile, Bahrain's military reported that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed several Iranian aerial assaults aimed at the country.

The Bahrain Interior Ministry stated that air raid sirens were activated multiple times, urging residents to seek shelter. The Iranian military had previously targeted the Sheikh Isa Air Base, which hosts U.S. military units, indicating escalating tensions in the region.
