Iran Threatens Weapons-Grade Uranium Enrichment Amid Talks

Iran has threatened to enrich uranium to weapons-grade levels, specifically 90%, as negotiations with the U.S. falter. Ebrahim Rezaei, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, warned of military options if the U.S. continues to reject Iran's proposals.

U.S. President Donald Trump described Iran's latest peace proposal as "completely unacceptable." Iran's Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, indicated that the country has no alternative but to assert its rights.

Reports indicate that Iran currently holds approximately 400 kilograms of enriched uranium at 60%, just below the 90% threshold for weapons-grade material. Trump has stated that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons and has reiterated that the U.S. position on Iran's uranium enrichment is non-negotiable.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that any military action against Iran cannot be considered until its nuclear capabilities are eliminated.
