Iranian Missiles Strike U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar

On late Tuesday, Iranian ballistic missiles targeted the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest U.S. military installation in the Middle East, according to Qatar's Defence Ministry. Two missiles were launched from Iran towards Qatari territory, with one successfully hitting the base located southwest of Doha.

Fortunately, there were no casualties or significant damage reported. The Al Udeid Air Base hosts approximately 10,000 U.S. servicemen and serves as the forward headquarters for the U.S.

Central Command (CENTCOM), playing a key role in regional air operations and logistics. This incident is part of a broader escalation in Iranian responses to a joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign that began on February 28, 2026, targeting Iranian nuclear missile facilities and senior leadership figures.

The Qatari Defence Minister condemned the attack as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and emphasized that the armed forces are fully prepared to safeguard national security. Explosions were reportedly heard across Doha, and this incident follows a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks on Gulf nations hosting U.S. forces.
