Qatar Shoots Down Iranian Jets Amid Rising Tensions

Qatar's armed forces have successfully shot down two Iranian SU-24 fighter jets and intercepted seven ballistic missiles and five drones, as confirmed by the Qatari Defence Minister. This military action comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following US and Israeli attacks on Iran, which have resulted in significant casualties across the country.

The Qatari Defence Minister stated that the operations were part of a plan to neutralize threats immediately upon detection, aiming to prevent damage to target areas within Qatar. The Qatari government condemned Iran's retaliatory strikes as reckless and irresponsible, noting that these attacks were aimed at Gulf countries, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
