Blord: Anambra Offers Better Living than Lagos for Wealthy

Nigerian businessman and social media personality Blord has expressed a preference for living in Anambra over Lagos, citing cost of living differences. He stated that ₦200,000 in Asaba can provide more comfort than ₦500,000 in Lagos, due to lower rent, transportation, and everyday expenses.

This discussion raises the question of whether earning a high income guarantees a comfortable lifestyle in Nigeria. The National Bureau of Statistics reported that Nigeria's headline inflation fell to 15.43 percent in July 2026, while food inflation remained higher at 20.31 percent.

Although high-income earners have more choices and can afford better housing and transportation, the value of money varies significantly by location. Blord's comments suggest that where one lives can greatly influence the quality of life, making it essential to consider both income and living expenses in Nigeria.
