Sambo Questions Tinubu's 2027 Election Prospects

In a recent morning show, Sambo expressed uncertainty about Bola Ahmed Tinubu's prospects in the 2027 election, highlighting that Tinubu's victory in the 2023 election was a narrow escape. He pointed out that the outcome of the last election indicated a close contest, suggesting that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had made poor political calculations by assuming an easy victory in future polls. Sambo stressed that the current approach of the APC could prove counterproductive, especially in light of the strong support bases of opposition leaders such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, which recorded significant results in the last election. He concluded that the APC strategists need to rethink their strategies, as they appear to have inadvertently encouraged opposition figures to align on a common platform.
