Itele Defends Irewole Olaniyan Amid Affair Allegations

Actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, addressed his decision to defend actress Irewole Olaniyan during an ongoing affair scandal in an interview on the African A-List YouTube channel on October 23, 2026. Itele stated that Irewole views him as a boss figure, which influenced his choice to speak out.

He described a post he made cautioning his wife as playful rather than confrontational, noting he deleted it almost immediately after posting. The scandal involves allegations from a woman named Mary, who accused Irewole of having a romantic relationship with her husband for approximately three years, claiming he funded Irewole's film projects and other expenses.

Mary alleged she contacted Irewole privately before going public but was told Irewole was unaware of her husband's marital status. Following backlash, Itele's wife posted a video criticizing Irewole but later removed it, stating her husband's feelings prompted her action.
