Itele D Icon Denies Romantic Link with Actress Kemity

Actor and filmmaker Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele D Icon, addressed rumors regarding a romantic relationship with actress Kemi Ariyo, also known as Kemity or Aunty Sidi. This clarification was made during an episode of the African Alist podcast that aired on October 24.

Itele stated that the speculation is unfounded and described his relationship with Kemity as familial, likening her to "a daughter, a sister, and a family member." He noted that their association dates back over 15 years to her time as a student at his film school. Itele, recognized for his roles in action films such as Koleoso and Jagun Jagun, mentioned that not all individuals he supports publicly acknowledge his help.

He clarified that his public support for others reflects his character and is not indicative of a personal relationship. The duo frequently collaborates on various Yoruba Nollywood film projects, including Olosho Ghetto and Ferry Terminal, which was directed by Itele and featured at Kemity Studio.
