Wihioka Claims Amaechi Not Indigene of Ikwerre, Threatens Action

Elder Chidi Wihioka, the lawmaker representing the Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has alleged that Rotimi Amaechi, the vice presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is not an indigene of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State. In a video circulating on social media, Wihioka stated that he possesses a document that substantiates his claim.

He warned that he would release this document if Amaechi makes any derogatory comments about him. Wihioka mentioned that Amaechi was once considered his son but is no longer in that regard.

He emphasized that Amaechi cannot claim to be a son of Ikwerre land, citing a document related to the balkanization of Ikwerre during the creation of Bayelsa State as evidence. Wihioka's statements indicate a significant political contention between him and Amaechi.
