Akpabio Celebrates Nigerian Women on International Women's Day

On the occasion of International Women's Day (IWD), Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, extended his congratulations to Nigerian women, highlighting their resilience and sacrifices. In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Esem Eyiboh, Akpabio praised the invaluable contributions of women in building families and society.

He described mothers as the best gift God has given to man and cited his own life as a testament to the wonders of women. Akpabio expressed gratitude for the love and care mothers provide and acknowledged their sacrifices in raising children.

He commended the strength and resilience of Nigerian women and reaffirmed the legislature's commitment to investing in women and promoting their participation in economic and political processes. Aligning with this year's IWD theme of "Give Gain," Akpabio wished all women blessings and peace, assuring them that their efforts would not go in vain.
