EFCC Reaffirms Commitment to Empower Female Officers

On International Women's Day, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), under the leadership of Executive Chairman Ola Olukoyede, reiterated its commitment to empowering female officers. This assurance was made during a seminar held at the EFCC Headquarters.

Olukoyede emphasized the importance of addressing the welfare needs of female officers to enable them to effectively discharge their duties. The commission has prioritized the health and safety of its personnel, particularly focusing on female officers.

Several initiatives have been introduced to improve work-life balance and dignity for female staff, including the establishment of childcare facilities to ease the burden on nursing mothers. The commission is also dedicated to developing policies to protect female officers from abuse and harassment.

Felicia Timothy, the Acting Director of EFCC's Staff Welfare Services, highlighted the vital roles women play as caregivers and decision-makers. The seminar featured lectures on women's health and workplace support, contributing to the EFCC's efforts to promote gender inclusivity.
