Iwobi Deletes Fulham Posts After Fans' Jeers

Alex Iwobi, an international midfielder for Fulham, deleted all his posts related to the club on Instagram following jeers from some supporters during his substitution in the 82nd minute of a 3-2 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace. Despite covering the second-highest distance of any Fulham player in that match, Iwobi faced ironic cheers and jeers upon his exit.

Fulham has had a challenging start to the season, losing all three of their opening fixtures and currently sitting 19th in the league table, with only promoted Coventry City performing worse on goal difference. Iwobi, who joined Fulham from Everton in 2023 under coach Marco Silva, has been described as a central figure in the dressing room.

This is not the first instance of Iwobi removing his Fulham-related posts; he had previously done so earlier in the year. The club's struggles are expected to continue as they prepare to face an unbeaten Liverpool side at Anfield this weekend.
