Alex Iwobi Set for 100th Cap Against Poland in June

Alex Iwobi is prepared to participate in Nigeria's friendly match against Poland, which is scheduled for June. This match could mark Iwobi's 100th cap for the Super Eagles, making him the fourth Nigerian footballer to reach this milestone, following Joseph Yobo, Vincent Enyeama, and Ahmed Musa.

Iwobi, who plays for Fulham FC, has recovered from a hamstring injury sustained on April 30 against Brentford. His return is significant for the Super Eagles, especially as coach Eric Chell faces challenges due to the withdrawal of key players like Victor Osimhen for personal reasons and others including Ademola Lookman, Femi Azeez, Samson Tijani, Alhassan Yusuf, and Ebenez Akinsanmiro.

Iwobi expressed pride in his achievements with Fulham and emphasized the team's ambition to improve upon their third-place finish in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
