Iyabo Obasanjo Meets Tinubu, Outlines Ogun State Plans

Iyabo Obasanjo, daughter of former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo and an Ogun governorship aspirant, visited President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence. In a statement released on Tuesday, she disclosed that she briefed President Tinubu on her plans for Ogun State, outlining her vision and priorities for governance and public service development.

Obasanjo emphasized the long-standing relationship she has with President Tinubu, which she described as built on years of political engagement and mutual respect. During the meeting, she reaffirmed her loyalty to the ruling party and pledged to actively mobilize support for President Tinubu ahead of the next general elections.

Additionally, she expressed her desire to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in the 2027 governorship race.
