JAMB Extends 2026 Direct Entry Registration Deadline

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry applications to May 8, 2026. This decision, communicated by JAMB's public communications advisor, Benjamin, aims to ensure that eligible candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions are not denied the opportunity to register.

In a bid to make the registration process easier, JAMB has created five additional registration centers to alleviate pressure in areas with high demand. The new centers include the Distance Learning Centre at the University of Ilorin in Kwara State, Bell University of Technology in Ota, Ogun State, Olabisi Onabanjo University in Iwo, Ogun State, and the Federal College of Education, Special in Oyo State.

Additionally, the Human Development Initiative's Grace House in Lagos State will begin operations on April 30, 2026. JAMB has reminded candidates that professional registration centers across the country remain open for the ongoing Direct Entry registration exercise.
