JAMB Confirms 2026 UTME Schedule Amid Postponement Claims

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially dismissed a false notice claiming the postponement of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The board clarified that the UTME is set to take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.

JAMB emphasized that the misleading statement, which circulated on Saturday, was malicious and not issued by them. Candidates were advised to disregard this fake notice.

Additionally, JAMB reported on the conduct of the 2026 UTME mock examination held on Saturday, March 28, which faced technical challenges at some computer-based test centers. Out of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock exam, 152,586 successfully participated across 989 CBT centers nationwide, while 20 centers experienced technical inadequacies.

The board also cautioned candidates against engaging with fraudulent individuals or groups claiming to facilitate score inflation, warning that such actions could lead to cancellation of registration and withholding of results.
