JAMB Confirms 2026 UTME Dates, Denies Postponement Rumors

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) issued a statement on Saturday denying rumors regarding the postponement of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The board clarified that the UTME is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Additionally, JAMB announced that a mock examination will be conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Despite the registration of 224,597 candidates for the mock exam, only 152,586 successfully completed the test due to technical difficulties encountered at 20 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers, which were delisted due to inadequate infrastructure.

JAMB urged the public to disregard the misleading reports and confirmed that the examination dates remain as originally announced.
