JAMB Adjusts 2026 UTME Schedule for Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a revision to the schedule for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates are now expected to arrive at the computer-based test centers by 7:00 AM, a change from the previously set time of 6:30 AM.

The examination will commence at 8:30 AM and conclude at 10:30 AM. This adjustment aims to enhance operational efficiency and ensure a smoother examination process.

JAMB's decision follows concerns raised by candidates and parents regarding the earlier arrival time, which posed challenges such as early morning travel difficulties and safety risks. JAMB clarified that candidates are not required to reprint their examination slips due to this schedule adjustment.

The UTME is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026, and candidates are urged to adhere strictly to the updated schedule to avoid disruptions.
