JAMB Adjusts 2026 UTME Arrival Time for Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a change in the arrival time for candidates taking the first session of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates are now expected to arrive at their examination centers by 7:00 AM, a shift from the previously scheduled time of 6:30 AM.

The examination will commence at 8:30 AM and conclude at 10:30 AM. This adjustment aims to address concerns raised by candidates and parents regarding early morning travel and safety issues.

JAMB has clarified that there is no need for candidates to reprint their examination slips due to this change. The 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place from April 16 to April 25, 2026.

JAMB also stated that it will maintain four daily sessions from Monday to Friday to improve efficiency across computer-based test (CBT) centers nationwide.
