Jandor Challenges Hamzat for Lagos Governorship Nomination

Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has officially expressed his intention to contest the Lagos State governorship election by purchasing nomination forms from the All Progressives Congress (APC). This decision, announced in a statement on Wednesday, aligns with the party's current official position favoring direct primaries for candidate selection.

Jandor, a former governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), emphasized the importance of genuine leadership and the need for consistent engagement with the electorate. His move comes as the APC intensifies its activities ahead of the 2027 elections, with current Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat already securing the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
