Jandor Exits Lagos Guber Race, Backs Hamzat for 2027

Abdul Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has officially withdrawn from the Lagos State gubernatorial race, which he was contesting under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). This announcement came on Thursday, just 24 hours after Obafemi Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State, was introduced as the consensus candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) by President Bola Tinubu.

Jandor had previously expressed interest in the gubernatorial ticket and had picked up nomination forms ahead of the party's primaries. However, following the developments within the APC and Tinubu's backing of Hamzat, Jandor has decided to join the APC and will seek the party's gubernatorial ticket for the 2027 elections.

This strategic move indicates a shift in Jandor's political aspirations and aligns him with the ruling party's future plans.
