JCI Ikeja Provides Free Health Services to 2,000 Residents

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ikeja conducted a health screening event on Saturday, providing free medical services to over 2,000 residents as part of its annual community health intervention titled ‘Commit to Quality Health’. The screening included checks for blood pressure, blood sugar, malaria, tuberculosis (TB), HIV, and hepatitis B, along with dental and oral health assessments.
JCI Ikeja President Olubunmi Fadare stated that this initiative encourages residents to prioritize their health and seek medical attention when needed. This event marked the second phase of the program for the year, following an earlier phase that reached over 500 people on World Health Day.
The second phase was funded by a grant from the Crocodile Foundation. More than 30 medical personnel participated, and Fadare emphasized the importance of free healthcare services.
JCI Nigeria's Executive Vice President (Southwest), Idara Michael, mentioned that the organization would assess the intervention's impact and improve future programs based on feedback.
