Jegun of Ile-Oluji Marks 10 Years with N1.3bn Projects

On Tuesday, the Jegun of Ile-Oluji, Oba Olufaderin Oluwol Adetimehin, announced the completion of N1.3 billion in community-driven infrastructure projects during a press conference marking his 10th coronation anniversary. Johnson Fagbamiye disclosed that these projects were executed without government intervention, relying entirely on community efforts and direct labor.

A significant project includes the installation of a 10MVA transformer aimed at enhancing electricity supply within the kingdom, which cost N750 million, with N200 million contributed by community members. The projects also feature two blocks of two-storey student hostels with 40 self-contained rooms at the Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji and eight blocks of modern agricultural livestock market stalls.

The anniversary celebrations will include cultural exhibits, sports activities, and a scholarship program for outstanding indigent students in public schools, with each receiving no less than N50,000 annually.
