Jigawa State Sponsors Quranic Champions for Studies in India

Jigawa State Scholarship Board in Nigeria is sending six outstanding students, winners of national Quranic recitation competitions, to study in India. The selected students will pursue degrees in pharmacy, nursing, and engineering at an integrated university.

The state government has approved N167.25 million to cover tuition fees, accommodation, health insurance, airfare, and other related expenses. This initiative demonstrates the state's commitment to education, as evidenced by the N10 billion allocated to the scholarship board in the 2026 budget.
