Kebbi State Sponsors 35 Underprivileged Students to Study Medicine Abroad

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idri, reaffirmed the state's commitment to providing equal education opportunities by sponsoring 35 indigent students to study medicine and pharmacy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The governor emphasized that children from poor and less privileged backgrounds would no longer be treated as second-class citizens. The students were selected based on merit and discipline, with a focus on supporting talented individuals from humble backgrounds.

The state government also disclosed plans to sponsor underprivileged youths to study aircraft pilot and aircraft engineering abroad. Alhaji Isah Abubakar Tunga was mentioned as one of the students fully sponsored to study MBBS and pharmacy at the Premium Medical College in Addis Ababa, with all tuition fees covered by the state government.
