Joao Pedro Signs Long-Term Chelsea Contract Until 2034

Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has signed a new long-term contract that commits him to the club until 2034. The 24-year-old Brazil international joined Chelsea from Brighton last summer for an initial fee of £55 million, with an additional £5 million in add-ons.

In his first season, Pedro scored 20 goals across all competitions and contributed significantly to Chelsea's Club World Cup victory. He expressed his happiness about the contract, stating his long-term commitment to the club and its winning tradition.

Although Chelsea announced the contract as running until 2034, it is understood to effectively last until 2032, with an option for two additional years. This new agreement rewards Pedro's impressive debut season and secures Chelsea's investment amid interest from Barcelona.

Pedro became the first Chelsea striker since Diego Costa to score 20 goals in a season without penalties and is expected to lead the attack in the upcoming Premier League season against Fulham.
