Jonathan Welcomes ADC Presidential Aspirant Hayatu-Deen

On Friday, former President Goodluck Jonathan met with Moham Hayatu-Deen, the presidential aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Abuja. The meeting focused on Nigeria's outlook for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

A statement from Hayatu-Deen's media office highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two men, noting their previous collaborations during Jonathan's administration when Hayatu-Deen served as a member of the National Council on Privatization and later as chair of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) while Jonathan was Vice President. During the visit, Hayatu-Deen praised Jonathan for his contributions to democratic governance and electoral integrity across Africa.

He formally informed Jonathan of his decision to seek the presidency in 2027 and expressed his intention to leverage his extensive experience in the public and private sectors to address issues such as insecurity, rising living costs, and job creation in Nigeria.
