Scheduled Power Disruption for Jos-Bauchi-Gombe Line

The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) has announced that the Jos-Bauchi-Gombe 330KV transmission line will experience power disruptions starting from Saturday to Sunday. This planned outage is intended to facilitate the installation of an optic ground wire (OPGW) along the 330KV line.

During this period, areas surrounding Bauchi, Gombe, and Yola are expected to experience interruptions in electricity supply. To ensure a safe working environment, the 132KV transmission line from Bauchi to Gombe will be taken out of service.

NISO has expressed appreciation for the understanding and cooperation of electricity market participants and consumers affected by this temporary interruption, which is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the transmission infrastructure and enhance the reliability of the national grid.
