Oyebamiji Launches Campaign for Osun Governorship Election

Bola Oyebamiji, representing the Candid Progress Congress, officially launched his campaign for the Osun State governorship election on Thursday. During a rally in Ilé Ifè, he pledged to ensure equitable distribution of public resources across the state.

Oyebamiji emphasized his plans to address various economic segments and highlighted his commitment to infrastructure development, including the renovation of key roads such as Enuwa-Fajuyi Junction Road, Ilar Sabo Road, and Aderemi Road. He also plans to establish a modern market in Ilé Ifè, which he described as the cradle of the Yoruba race.

Oyebamiji assured civil servants that they would receive regular training and retraining both domestically and abroad, and he committed to not practicing nepotism in resource distribution. He criticized the current administration for the poor state of hospitals and pledged to support health workers and farmers by providing hybrid seeds to boost agricultural output.

The election is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, with fourteen political parties fielding candidates.
