JED PLC Addresses Poor Power Supply in Northern States

Saratu Aliyu Dauda, the spokesperson for JED PLC, addressed the ongoing issue of poor power supply affecting Plateau, Bauchi, Benue, and Gombe states. She attributed the challenges to a significant reduction in electricity allocation from the national grid, which directly impacts the volume of power available for distribution to customers.

Dauda emphasized that the current challenges are largely beyond the control of the distribution company. She appealed to customers for understanding during this period and reassured them that JED PLC is actively engaging relevant stakeholders in the power sector to address the situation and improve supply stability across its operational areas.

The statement comes amid growing concerns about nationwide fluctuations in electricity supply, which have led to significant negative impacts on socio-economic activities in the country.
