Tinubu Inaugurates Housing Project for Federal Judges

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated a 10-unit housing project for judges of the Federal High Court located in Katampe District, Abuja. During the event, Tinubu stated that the initiative is part of his administration's commitment to fortifying the judiciary, which he described as a vital pillar of democracy.

He emphasized that a secure environment is essential for judges to dispense justice without fear or favor. The project, which aims to enhance the welfare of judicial officers, includes fully furnished five-bedroom duplexes.

Tinubu commended Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure and transforming Abuja into a world-class city. Chief Justice John Tsoho acknowledged the long-standing accommodation challenges faced by judges and expressed hope that this initiative would improve their welfare.

Richard Dauda, acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority, indicated that the project was awarded in September 2024.
