Judy Austin Seeks Over N2 Billion in Defamation Cases

The case against Obasi, which Judy filed in July, includes a demand for N1 billion in general damages for defamation, alongside N500 million in aggravated damages, N500 million in exemplary damages, and N100 million each for the cost of the action and prosecuting the suit. Additionally, she is requesting the court to compel Obasi to publish a full retraction in two widely circulated national newspapers and on his social media platforms.

A restraining order against Obasi and his agents, as well as the removal of all allegedly defamatory content he posted about her, is also being sought. The hearing for the case was adjourned to November 24.
