Adebayo Urges Nigerians to Honor June 12 Sacrifices

On June 12, Adewale Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), made a statement urging Nigerians not to waste the sacrifices of Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, the winner of the historically significant June 12, 1993 presidential election. Adebayo highlighted that the annulment of the election by the military government was a betrayal of Nigeria's constitutional sovereignty.

He stressed that the date serves as a reminder of the power belonging to the people and the importance of true democracy. Adebayo called on all Nigerians to play their roles in establishing genuine democracy and not to allow the efforts of past heroes to be in vain.

He referenced President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging Nigerians to maintain faith in the country despite its numerous challenges.
