APC Members Endorse Biodun Oyebanji as Consensus Candidate for 2026 Ekiti Poll

The All Progressives Congress (APC) officially endorsed Governor Biodun Oyebanji as the consensus candidate for the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election. The decision was reached during a high-level party stakeholder meeting in Ado Ekiti.

The motion to adopt Oyebanji as the consensus candidate was moved by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and seconded by the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.

Stephen Aribasoy. The endorsement is seen as a reflection of unity and confidence in the leadership, recognizing the governor's achievements in infrastructure, governance, and economic development.

This move is expected to reduce internal party disputes and strengthen the APC's position ahead of the gubernatorial race in 2026.
