ASUU Gives Federal Government 14-Day Ultimatum Over Unresolved Demands

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to address unresolved demands following a meeting of its National Executive Council. The ultimatum comes after the government's consistent neglect of the university system and refusal to meet ASUU's demands, including the renegotiation of the 2009 agreement.

If the government fails to address the issues within the specified timeframe, ASUU may embark on a warning strike followed by a total indefinite strike. The Federal Ministry of Education has set up a committee to review ASUU's proposals in a bid to ensure stability across universities, but ASUU remains firm on its demands for the betterment of the education sector.
