Atiku Abubakar Welcomes Appeal Court Ruling on ADC

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed his approval of the Appeal Court's order that temporarily halts the Federal High Court's judgment aimed at deregistering the ADC along with three other parties. In a statement made on Tuesday, Atiku highlighted the significance of this judicial development for the independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He noted that the recent judicial actions have attracted public scrutiny and have raised concerns about the integrity of the political landscape in Nigeria. Atiku pointed out that the judiciary is under trial and must not undermine Nigeria's hard-won democracy.

He emphasized that the judiciary is in a position to redeem itself by standing firmly with the constitutional rule of law and the Nigerian people. Additionally, he called on the Nigerian judiciary to uphold constitutional principles and ensure justice is served.
