Atiku Storms Adamawa Amid Speculation of Political Realignment

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar recently arrived in Yola, Adamawa State, shortly after returning from an overseas trip. Atiku, who resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in July, is expected to formally announce his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The ADC, which adopted the National Coalition of Political Opposition Movement, is seen as a platform for Atiku to contest the 2027 presidential election. Since his return to Nigeria, Atiku has met with political figures like former Sokoto State governor Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami SAN.

His strategic moves indicate a potential political realignment ahead of the upcoming elections.
