Benue Assembly Suspends Top Lawmakers Over Misconduct

The Benue State House of Assembly has suspended two top lawmakers, Saater Tiseer and Michael Audu, for alleged gross misconduct. Additionally, Dorca Faeren Mbatiav was removed from the House's service commission for leaking confidential records.

The suspensions were based on an ad hoc committee's findings that the lawmakers had acted against the unity and integrity of the assembly. The actions taken were in line with the committee's recommendations, with Tiseer receiving a six-month suspension and Audu a three-month suspension.
