FG Denies Negotiating with Bandits Amid Security Success

The Federal Government's Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) denied allegations of negotiating with bandits following claims made by Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. El-Rufai had suggested that ONSA coordinated incentives for bandits, which ONSA spokesperson Zakari Mijinyawa refuted as false.

The government emphasized its dual strategy of military operations and community engagement to combat banditry, leading to improved security in Kaduna State. Notorious bandits have been eliminated, and a leader of the Ansaru terrorist group was recently apprehended.

ONSA urged political figures to refrain from making unfounded claims that could undermine security efforts.
