Gov. Nwifuru Orders Probe into Deadly Gunmen Attack on Ebonyi Community

Governor Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has directed security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into a recent deadly attack by gunmen on Oso Edda community in Edda Local Government Area. The attack resulted in loss of lives and destruction of properties, prompting the governor to describe it as a barbaric act and a gross violation of human life sanctity.

The governor assured residents that every necessary step will be taken to uncover the circumstances surrounding the attack and ensure justice is served. The state government is collaborating closely with law enforcement agencies to track down the perpetrators.

The governor also urged affected communities to remain calm and refrain from retaliation, emphasizing the importance of peace and coexistence for sustainable development in the state. The directive was contained in a statement issued by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Mondai Uzor, on Friday.
