Governor Nwifuru Demands Investigation into Monarch's Murder

Governor Franci Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has called on security agencies to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the abduction and murder of traditional ruler Ndufu Alik Ez. The traditional ruler was abducted on a Sunday while attending church.

Following the incident, Governor Nwifuru canceled a scheduled Executive Council meeting to visit the family of the late monarch. He assured that the police have made arrests related to the crime and emphasized that the perpetrators will face justice.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Mondai Uzor, Nwifuru described the slain traditional ruler as an accomplished elder statesman and a courageous leader dedicated to serving the people.

He encouraged the entire Ikwo Noyo clan to bear the loss with fortitude. Barr Kelechi Igw, the eldest son of the late monarch and former deputy governor of Ebonyi State, expressed gratitude for the efforts made by the governor to rescue his father, despite the unfortunate outcome.
